THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AT OUR 2017 ART & SOUP CELEBRATION

The 29th Annual Art & Soup Celebration

March 21 - 23, 2017

The Community Nursing Services (CNS) annual fundraising event, Art & Soup supports the CNS Charitable Care Program which provides charitable home health and hospice care to thousands of uninsured and underinsured low-income Utahns across the state.

We celebrated the 29th anniversary of this event in March which was our 89th year providing home healthcare to Utah citizens.

Art & Soup 2017 featured original works by 44 Utah artists along with sumptuous samplings of soups, desserts and baked goods donated by 22 local restaurants.

Artists were selected from a variety of mediums including oil, watercolor, mixed media, glass, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry and more. Participating artists donated 30% of their sales to the CNS Charitable Care Program.

2017 FEATURED ARTIST  -   KRISTI GRUSSENDORF

Kristi doesn’t remember a time without art.  Her mother earned her degree in art & also taught so it was something that was valued & encouraged at home.  Kristi graduated with a BFA (painting & drawing emphasis) from the University of Utah & was privileged to learn from many of Utah’s most famous & talented artists/instructors.  While attending the university she acquired several pieces from professors by trading student work and was selected on scholarship to attend Ed Maryon's Monterey Bay watercolor workshop.  She has been included in several national & international publications & was privileged to be part of the 2016 PACE (Plein Air Convention & Expo) faculty in Tucson , AZ.  She teaches for the Cache Valley Center for the Arts, is a rostered instructor for the Utah Division of Arts & Museums, enjoys teaching workshops, doing demonstrations & judging exhibitions.
